Our Medicare Options Review.
What is a Medicare Options Review?
This is a non-biased evaluation of available Medicare benefits based solely on your unique circumstances and needs. We use the most up-to-date information provided by Medicare that will help you to make informed and educated decisions.
This is the process we follow for each Medicare Review:
- First, if you have other work-related insurance options, we will help you determine if enrolling in Medicare is your best choice. You might be surprised.
- If you are currently a Medicare beneficiary, you may have many questions about your benefits, current plan, plans available in the new year, plans to purchase your medications with lower costs, supplements vs Medicare Advantage, etc.
- Next, we will discuss the main differences between keeping Original Medicare and adding supplemental insurance and a drug plan vs enrolling into a Medicare Advantage plan. The next step will be to look at which plans your current doctors are in network with and evaluate the Medicare costs for your current medications, doctor’s visits, etc.
- We will then discuss what additional benefits you are interested in, like; dental, vision, chiropractic, acupuncture, hearing aids, gym memberships, over the counter supplies, etc. (You might be surprised at all the additional benefits available to Medicare Beneficiaries)
- The final steps will be to provide you with information and costs associated with the plans that meet your criteria.
Depending on what County you live in, many of the Medicare Advantage (part C) plans have a $0 monthly premium and $0 or very low co-pays. (Medicare Supplement plans usually cost more than $50/month)
Depending on your situation, you may be able to change your Medicare plan outside of the regular annual enrollment periods. Otherwise you may need to wait until October 15 thru December 7th or January 1st thru March 31st to make changes. (Note, Medicare supplements can be changed throughout the year depending on your circumstances)
We do not charge for our enrollment services.
If you decide to let us help you enroll with a plan, the insurance company will compensate us for helping you enroll and to provide ongoing annual support. There is no savings to you by enrolling directly with an insurance carrier. As your independent Medicare insurance broker we will be available to help and advise you throughout the year, and help you during the annual enrollment periods to determine if there are any new companies or plans that could save you money while providing additional benefits to you.
